The Fuchs in Mauth –
Not a Hotel like any other

Since the re-opening in 2018 after the extensive renovation, the FUCHS is of course once again the village pub in the idyllic community of Mauth-Finsterau. The State of Bavaria list it among the 100 best local inns, and it bears the title "Musician friendly".

But the FUCHS is much more. The FUCHS is also a hotel with twelve rooms of *** superior standard on the 1st floor and with a wellness area under the roof. A place where locals feel just as comfortable as vacationers - where strangers quickly become friends. The kitchen stands for high-quality, regional and sometimes unusual dishes. "That is our claim, with which we want to give you unforgettable hours and days," says Bernhard Fuchs, manager in the third generation of this family-run hotel. The FUCHS relies on individuality instead of random wellness mainstream and mass tourism. And that in one of the 20 most attractive holiday destinations in Europe, to which the US broadcaster CNN counts the Nationalpark Bavarian Forest-region. Adalbert Stifter, the famous writer's son from this picturesque area, stated 200 years ago: "Never say that something is beautiful until you have seen the Bavarian Forest!"
