AT HOME
OUTSIDE
The Bavarian Forest is a natural paradise in every season. Thanks to its low mountain range location, it offers reliable snow conditions, especially in winter, and leaves nothing to be desired for (gentle) winter tourists. In spring, summer, and autumn, more and more people are also drawn to the “Woid.” The two contiguous national parks — the Bavarian Forest and Šumava — not only form the largest continuous forest area in Central Europe, but also a boundless outdoor paradise for hikers and cyclists, and an ideal area for e-bikers.
Motorcycle
Motorcyclists are very welcome here – even for one night. We offer covered parking spaces, a drying room, laundry service, information and maps. Tools are available and there is a specialized mechanic on site. The FUCHS is the perfect base for fantastic tours in the Bavarian and Bohemian Forests.

MoreHiking
The municipality of Mauth-Finsterau is embedded in a large network of hiking trails. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Alps, you are here on an individual tour of discovery of a unique nature and landscape. The network of paths begins almost directly at the FUCHS’ front door.

Skiing/ Cross Country Skiing
The Dreikönigsloipe through the Reschbachtal & World Cup-tested ski stadium in Finsterau - more cross-country skiing is impossible. And for the Alpine skiers, Mitterdorf, Hochficht and the Arber are three well-developed ski areas nearby. In Mauth itself there is a beginners' lift.
MoreWinter Hiking
If you want to be out and about without skis in winter, Mauth and the Bavarian Forest also offer many opportunities for cleared or rolled hiking trails. There is also a ski rental in the village that offers snowshoes, with which you can also leave your tracks cross-country.
