On Mother’s Day (May 11), the National Park Café Wistlberg has something very special! We offer an early start breakfast at 8:30 a.m. – and then you can join the rangers of the Bavarian Forest National Park on an exciting, free guided tour through the area around the Alte Klause and the Finsterauer Filz (approx. 90 minutes). For late starters, the second breakfast round begins at 10:30 am. Every mom also gets a glass of sparkling wine 🥂 to celebrate Mother’s Day on the house!

The tenant of the Wistlberg National Park Café has been chosen: from the end of September this year, we and the Gasthaus-Hotel FUCHS will take over the catering for hikers, cyclists and cross-country skiers in the “Naturerlebnis Wistlberg” near Finsterer. National Park Director Ursula Schuster and Bernhard Fuchs, owner of Gasthaus-Hotel Fuchs, signed the contract in the new premises. “I am very pleased that we have found an effective and trustworthy tenant for our new café on the Wistlberg in Gasthaus Fuchs,” emphasizes Schuster. In future, there will be space for 30 people inside, and a further 80 guests can be served on the terrace. “We want to convey the idea of the national park here at Café Wistlberg, show people how to enjoy nature without endangering it and at the same time draw attention to the fragility of this ecosystem,” explains Fuchs. The aim is not only to provide food and drink, but also to become a link between visitors and the national park.

SUN | May 12 | from 9 AM: Mother’s Day Breakfast featuring the best from the FUCHS kitchen served on a tiered stand, homemade jams, orange juice & Prosecco (€15 per person)

A big thank you goes out to Ernstl’s Sport, for whom we’ll be providing catering at the business evening as part of the May Festival hosted by SV Neureichenau and the Neureichenau Volunteer Fire Department – in this very hut. After that, the hut will move from the municipality of Neureichenau – Bavarian Forest – to us in Mauth. That’s unbelievable – or is it! Our KANZEL BRÄU is now also available in a practical, deposit-free 5-liter party keg – at the price of our brewery’s founding year 2020 for 20.20 euros. Simply pick it up at the pub or brewery, tap it and enjoy! Our standard range includes our LIGHT and DARK products. But there will also always be our ROTFUCHS WEISSE and EISVOGEL Pilsener. We also have other sizes in stock: 10 liter keg (33 euros), 20 liter keg (63 euros) or 30 liter keg (90 euros), including tapping equipment (deposit 100 euros per keg). Of course, our 4-bottle carrier with the 0.75 liter bottles (15 euros) is still available. KANZEL BRÄU – everything for the big and small thirst!
